The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is currently meeting with the former Nigerian President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta.
Asiwaju Tinubu arrived the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, OOPL, in the Ogun State capital about 1:10 pm and went straight into a closed doors meeting with the former president.
He was being accompanied by the House of Representatives Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, former APC interim chairman, Chief Bisi Akande, and former Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.
The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and two of his predecessors, Chief Olusegun Osoba and Otunba Gbenga Daniel, were also in attendance.
We gathered that it was a carnival-like atmosphere at the Obasanjo’s residence as thousands of APC members stormed the premises singing, dancing and drumming.
It should be noted that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu won the party’s presidential candidate and by 2023 the election will be held.
More importantly, the Penthouse of the former president located within the precinct of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) is alive with hundreds of his loyalists waiting to receive him.
Tinubu is also expected to address his supporters and members of the APC later at the MKO Abiola Stadium
