      Concerned about telling Genuine African stories by ourselves, change negative narratives and empower the less privileged ones despite all odds in Nigeria, AFRORNAMENTS, organised arts show at Radisson Blu lkeja Lagos.

Ifeanyichukwu Oraemeka Chief Executive Officer AFRORNAMENTS made the call at the exhibition with a theme,- “TALES explores and presents the ingenuity of African crafts”. She pointed out that AFRORNAMENTS is an Afrocentric creative enterprise that creates African inspired ornaments and more.
She added that the aims and objectives of the event is to tell our African stories correctly, redeem the negative vibes, images and moral values.

In addition, we showcase our African crafts & arts, fashion, food, culture and traditions. We have crafts designs from Ghana and other African countries.We tell the positive stories around our crafts and products.
“We promote symbols and signs which most people feel sometimes are fetish or diabolic.We try to educate and correct these misconceptions”, -Oraemeka said.

“We need more art exhibitions to tell our stories better and all by ourselves, not allowing others to talk for us because we are the ones passing through our challenges.”

“We are masters in turning uncommon pieces to master pieces. We use the social media to showcase our products, new clients and educate people globally about Africa crafts, food fashion, culture among others.We ship worldwide.
The pieces exhibited were both simple and complicated, capturing a variety of forms, shapes, sizes, materials, patterns, cultures and connections. They convey messages and stories that is unique to Africa.

Oraemeka disclosed that the products and services offered at AFRORNAMENTS include:•Curatorial services,•Original artworks,•Sculptures, •Unique hand crafted Afrocentric ornaments (for body and spaces).•Framings (for artworks, pictures and documents).•Ethnic and live edge furniture. The products created and sold at AFRORNAMENTS are eco-friendly.

The social media has boosted our businesss and assisted me to relate well with my new and existing clients .

As an artist, curator and a humanity advocate, when I am not doing Arts the related works above, I’m doing social works as I am a humanity advocate and have years of experience with different products. “I am also an actress amongst many other things.Collectors of my works spread across the world.”
Among some of the challenges we face with business are inflation, high exchange rate, unstable electricity, lack of raw materials and poor sales.

The beautiful and multi talented, Ifeanyichukwu, have worked and partnered with several NGOs food, health and empower the girl child projects as social corporate responsibility. Besides, l teach children arts crafts, because l believe in “catch them young,” they can express their thoughts, mood and emotion through arts, drawing and painting.
