The All Progressives Congress (APC) South-West Young Stakeholders Forum has released a press statement appealing to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR to consider a list of promising young candidates from various states in the region for the vacant position of the Ministry of Youth Development.
In the wake of the recent ministerial portfolio reshuffle, which created a vacancy in the Ministry of Youth Development, the forum expressed their concerns regarding equitable representation for the South-West region. The list of candidates was meticulously drafted based on principles of equity and justice, ensuring fair representation for each state.
Highlighting the distribution of ministerial portfolios in the Federal Executive Council, the forum pointed out that Ogun has three representatives, Lagos has two, and other states in the region – Osun, Oyo, Ekiti, and Ondo – each have one representative. As a result, the list of youth stalwarts presented to President Tinubu was carefully curated through extensive consultations.
The forum displayed their unwavering faith in the capacity of the young individuals listed, hailing them as committed members of the APC who share a profound loyalty to the Renewed Hope agenda and the nation as a whole.
The list of candidates, segregated based on their respective axes, is as follows:
Ekiti & Ondo Axis:
Makinde Araoye (MKD)
Seun Olufemi-White
Ayodele Olawande
Oyo & Osun Axis:
Bolaji Afeez Repete
Prince Oyekunle Oyewumi
Titilope Ayoka Gbadamosi
Ademola Adeyeye
Lagos & Ogun Axis:

The press statement concluded with a fervent appeal to President Tinubu to consider appointing one of these young candidates as the Minister for Youth Development. The forum expressed their deep gratitude and reaffirmed their loyalty to the Renewed Hope agenda, the APC, and the nation at large.
