In a report that was recently shared by the Nigerian Army, some bandits have been captured in Kaduna state after a fierce gun battle between troops of the Nigerian Army and terrorists. The report was shared on the official Facebook page of the Nigerian Army on Tuesday, 30th of August 2022.
According to the report, a fighting patrol of the Nigerian troops which was led by the General Officer Commanding of 1 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Taoreed Lagbaja alongside a team of Operational commanders and operatives were reported to have engaged the terrorists in Kaduna state.
The troops were said to have tackled and neutralized some of the bandits in areas including Buruku, Udawa, Manini, Birnin Gwari, Doka, Maganda, Kuyello and Dogon Dawa communities in Kaduna state.
As described in the report, the troops were said to be on a fighting patrol on Monday, 29th of August 2022 when they engaged the terrorists in a gun battle. During the fun battle, the troops were said to have overpowered the bandits with superior firepower.
They were also said to have neutralized one of the bandits, while three others were captured alive. The other Terrorists were said to have escaped with gunshot wounds.
Following the military engagement, some items were reported to have been recovered from the bandits. The weapons include one AK-47 rifle, 27 rounds of 7.62 mm Special ammunition and 18 Motorcycles
