Lagos CP Visits Residence Of Slain Lagos Lawyer, Bolanle Raheem + Photos ✓ The Scoper Media

    Abiodun Alabi, the Lagos state commissioner of police, has visited the residence of the late Bolanle Raheem.

Raheem, a lawyer, was shot in an incident involving a police officer on Sunday.

Alabi arrived at the residence located at the Ajah axis of Lagos state, on Tuesday evening.

Speaking during the visit, the Lagos police commissioner assures the family that justice will prevail.

Meanwhile, the mother of the deceased has opened up that she was pregnant with twins when she was killed.

Speaking during the condolence visit, the deceased’s mother said she hawked oranges to ensure that Raheem studied law in the university.

‘I cannot see my ‘The Law’ again. People usually call her ‘The Law’. She was taken away from me. She was pregnant with twins,” Raheem’s mother said.

She died with her glory. She left a five-year-old daughter behind. And they took her away.

“On Monday, my granddaughter came to me and said ‘Grandma Iju Ishaga, I saw you yesterday when you were crying; you were shouting; is it because of my mummy?’ And I said ‘yes’.

“Then she came again and told me, ‘Pastor Jerry said what God cannot do does not exist; so, grandma, stop crying’. And she kissed me on the cheek.

The incident has sparked widespread criticism, while the Lagos police command disclosed that the officer in question is currently in detention.

Usman Baba, inspector-general of police, has ordered a speedy investigation and prosecution of the officer involved in the incident.

Also, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos, has promised that justice will be served
