      Several passengers cheated death today (Sunday), May 6, 2023as Max Air aircraft crash-landed at the Nnamdi Azikwe Airport Abuja after its tyre bursts into flames.

SlyeNews reports the aircraft has since blocked the runway 2.30pm leaving scores of passengers stranded.

Several flights have been rescheduled, while, efforts to evacuate to aircraft is ongoing, an insider reveals.

The source said all passengers in the aircraft have been safely evacuated.

The Aerodrome Rescue and Fire-fighting Service (ARFFS) operates at the airport were swiftly mobilised to put off the fire.

Another source told this online: ” The Max Air aircraft crash-landed with emergency officials already on ground to put off the fire before the passengers were disembarked right at the runway.

Scores of passengers are now stranded in Abuja, while the aircraft has blocked the runway.
