A change of name has been announced of ‘Asiwaju Tinubu Presidential Campaign Organisation (ATPCO)’, to now be called ‘Asiwaju Tinubu-Shettima Coalition for Good Governance’.
The erstwhile Director General of ATPCO, Dr. Abdur-Raheem Adebayo Shittu, disclosed this in an internet voice interview with The DEFENDER Thursday night, July 28 2022 in addition to an official statement earlier released in Abuja, the Nigeria’s capital.
According to Shittu, who is immediate past Minister of Communications, the change of name takes immediate effect.
“I, Dr. Abdur-Raheem Adebayo Shittu, Barrister-at-Law, former Minister of Communications and erstwhile DIRECTOR GENERAL of the above named organization, hereby announce the change of name of the above named organization to ASIWAJU TINUBU-SHETTIMA COALITION FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE with immediate effect.
“The general public is invited to note that this change of name doesn’t in anyway, affect the foundational mandate of this coalition of more than three hundred support groups, spread across the length and breath of Nigeria. For emphasis, the mandate includes using various physical, social and digital strategies to campaign vigorously for the election of HE. SEN. [ASIWAJU] BOLA AHMED TINUBU to become President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria come 2023.
“Therefore, we appeal to all our members in particular and the general public to continue to support SEN. BOLA AHMED TINUBU and SEN. KASHIM SHETTIMA in their quest to win next year’s Presidential Election convincingly,” Dr. Abdur-Raheem Adebayo Shittu said in the statement.
