The new Sector Commander of FRSC Lagos, CC Patrick Davou Dung has urged drivers to cease overspeeding, cautioning that technology will now be utilized to catch traffic offenders on Lagos roads, aiming to reduce crashes.

As the National President of the Online Security News Publishers, Comrade Oki Samson, led his delegation to meet with Davou, the atmosphere crackled with anticipation. Davou, known for his astute insights, wasted no time in delivering a cautionary note. “In the realm of online security,” he began, “we must tread carefully, for every keystroke can either safeguard or compromise our nation’s integrity.” His words echoed through the room, imprinting a sense of urgency on the gathered publishers. With a nod of acknowledgment, Comrade Oki Samson vowed to uphold the responsibility entrusted to them by the digital landscape, knowing that safeguarding information meant safeguarding the very fabric of society.

In light of the persistent congestion on Lagos roads, the incoming Sector Commander, CC Davou, emphasized the need for proactive measures to alleviate traffic woes and states as follows
‘Lagos state is a big city where we have a lot of people trooping in from the airport, seaport, and others come to settle for greener pastures. There is high volume of traffic in Lagos, we have a lot of work to do. My men will be mobilized to orientate people against overspeeding. We will be using technology that will capture vehicles going above speed limit. We will use the mobile court to prosecute. We will also have joint zonal patrols with Ogun state sector.’

‘Now that I am back in Lagos, I promise that I am going to do my best to see how traffic crashes can be reduced to the barest minimum. The Corps Marshal is not happy with the articulated vehicles because of their activities and he has directed us to engage and enforce, the goods that they carry does a lot of havoc when crashes occur.’

He added: ‘We are doing public enlightenment both in print, online and electronic media. NAOSNP will be of very great help. You have been doing it. I want you to do more during my tenure. Let’s increase the tempo of reaching out to the motoring public. Some of them drive under the influence making them to drive recklessly.’

Similarly, Davou stood tall, his voice resonating with authority as he addressed the President and members of NAOSNP who had come to seek his support for the upcoming Walks Against Drug Abuse, Cultism, and Domestic Violence. “Your efforts are commendable,” he said, his tone filled with both admiration and determination. “But let us not merely walk; let us dance through the streets, our collective rhythm echoing the beat of change. Together, we shall choreograph a future free from the shackles of vice and violence.”

He proceeds further to say, Let’s embark on a journey of collaboration and synergy. With our combined efforts, we will propel our programs and advocacy initiatives forward. We pledge to provide the resources, manpower, and logistical support needed to achieve our shared goals. Together, we will stride down the road of progress, hand in hand, working in harmony towards a brighter future.
