Seun Kuti, a musician, posted a video on his Instagram page showing his first live performance on the platform. He told his fans some interesting anecdotes about himself they probably didn’t know.
On Wednesday, he was hauled to the same court where his father, Fela Kuti, was allegedly accused with murder. This occurred in his early years, circa 1993. They brought him with them to court to see his father’s murder trial.
Femi Falana, the lawyer and human rights campaigner who represented him in court, had previously represented his father.
After a video of Seun slapping a police officer went viral, he was taken into custody. He remained in jail until the day he was brought before a judge.
On Wednesday, the trial began at Yaba magistrate court. After the magistrate ruled that the police cannot serve as both the complainant and the prosecutor, the case was postponed until July 3, 2023
