CP Ammani Decorates Newly Promoted Officers, Charges Them To Take Responsibility And Be Responsive To Duties ~ The Scoper Media 

 

Says, It Is No Longer Business As Usual

 

 

    The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Ahmed Ammani, charged newly promoted Senior Police Officers of the Command to take responsibility and be responsive to the demands of their duties. He noted that their promotion to the next rank brings with it added responsibilities, which means that it is no longer business as usual.

     In a press statement e-signed and released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP by the Command’s PRO, DSP Daniel Ndukwe noted that the Commissioner of Police gave the charge during the decoration ceremony of six (6) Senior Police Officers of the Command that were recently promoted from the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) to the substantive rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) by the Police Service Commission, on the recommendation of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Alkali Baba Usman, psc (+) NPM, fdc, CFR.

   The CP, while extending the IGP’s hearty congratulations to the newly promoted Officers, wished them well and stressed that this new level in their career is one that calls for utmost carefulness, diligence and proper use of their discretionary powers.

    Speaking on behalf of the newly promoted and decorated Officers, CSP Dorathy Igwe (formerly SP, hitherto Area Crime Officer of Enugu Area Command) pledged that they will do their utmost best to justify the confidence reposed on them by the Police Service Commission and the Inspector-General of Police, who found them worthy of the promotion. She thanked Almighty God for keeping them alive to witness the promotion.

    Other officers promoted and decorated on the new rank of CSP include Alfred Ejiofor (Divisional Crime Officer, Awgu Police Division), Daniel Njoku (Officer-in-Charge, Safer Higher Patrol), John Igele (Divisional Police Officer, Mbanabo Police Division), Ernest Omenka (Divisional Police Officer, Udi Police Division) and Rachael Ujiogba (Staff Officer Inspectorate).

Meanwhile, NAOSNP can report that some senior officers had earlier gotten promotions. They include now CP Samuel Titus Musa (hitherto Deputy Commissioner of Police in-charge of the State CID Enugu) who was decorated by the IGP; now DCPs Marvellous Pullen and Zainab Pembi (Area Commanders of Oji-River and Agbani Area Commands respectively), now ACP Badamasi Musa (hitherto serving in the State CID Enugu) and now CSP Abdulkarim Adewale (Commanding Officer, CTU Base 10, Enugu), who were decorated by the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in-charge of Zone 13, Ukpo-Dunukofia, Anambra State, AIG Musa Muri, LLB, BL.

   The Commissioner of Police was joined in the ceremony by his management team members and Staff Officers of the Command, while spouses, parents, relatives and friends of the newly promoted Officers were on ground to witness the ceremony.
