The notorious bandit leader Dogo Gide, who has been a source of terror in Northern Nigeria, has been confirmed dead. The end of Gide’s reign of terror was announced by Imran Muhammad through his verified social media handle on Wednesday.
Dogo Gide met his demise following gunshot wounds sustained in a confrontation with soldiers from Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD). The clash occurred in the treacherous terrain of Madada Forest, located within the Maru local government area, on March 12, 2024.
Despite suffering severe injuries, it is reported that Gide was covertly moved to a hospital in Mabera, Sokoto State. His death occurred at this location.
The burial of Dogo Gide took place on March 24 at Dandalla Village. Gide was a fugitive wanted for numerous heinous crimes in the region
