” Yes, our former Council Chairman is late. He died in the UK where he went for his regular medical checkup. We never thought we will not see him no more because this is not the fire time time, he would go for treatment in UK.

” The illness has been a life threatening one but he has been managing it since he left office in 2011. Some of us in the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ifako/Ijaiye who are close to him will miss him alot because he was our rallypoint in the politics of the Council”, said an APC Chieftain.

When asked about the mood of the Council, the APC Chieftain said ” Everyone in the Council Secretariat including party secretariat is not happy with the new. But what could we do?”.
