Experts Chart Path For Next Breed Of Entrepreneurs + Photos ~ The Scoper Media

    Irked by the rapidly growing population and unemployment , poverty, hardship in the country, stakeholders have harped on the need to encourage entrepreneurship among youths to create jobs and wealth.
Speaking Mr Emmanuel Etim, Communications Manager Youth Empowerment & Digital Enterprise (YEDEP) said the capacity building programme is brain child of Freedom Foundation..

   The foundation mission is to reach out, give hope, rehabilitate, educate and empower impoverished persons in order to achieve individuals and community transformations.

   According to him, Freedom Foundation is in partnership with lshK Tolaram foundation to raise and cater entrepreneurs capabilities towards economic development.The event was held at Surulere Local government Council.
He said it is a 3month comprehensive vocational training on Pedicure & Manicure, digital training & marketing , catering, wig-making, Photography, Barbing among others.

   He appreciated the Surulere Local government Council. for their kind gestures and also the 10 volunteers for fully supporting the project and make it stress-free and successful. Etim also disclosed that the entrepreneurship programme would be replicated in many other locations in the state

 

“One of the objectives is to create opportunities for business to grow. We realize it is better to come closer to youths and groom them to become job creators. Participants with years of the mentorship programme is likely to survive in business and we work with them to make it possible,” he added.

   Communications Manager, urges students affected by the ASSU strike to embrace Entrepreneur and Skills Development while the government resolve to settle the matter. Rather than wasting valuable time, they learn a free vocational skills.
He said the programme would empower student’s with skills to self-reliance to fight poverty and unemployment in Nigeria
