Women at all levels have been engaged in a lot of inspiring opportunities, careers, networking, mentoring, empowerment among others in Lagos.
Edim Junadia, Group /Chief Executive Officer, Middlechase Property Limited, made the call at SheCan 4.0 Conference held at Harbor Point, Victoria Island Lagos, Nigeria. Spreading the narratives that women and girls can own assets without stress in the society.
Junadi advised women to step out to be at the forefront in whatever they do. “We do more, own more houses and could be more in positive terms.
Speakers at the conference were industrious leaders such as Ibukun Awosika, Catalyst Lanre Olusola, Rev Funke Felix Adejumo, Tara Fela-Durotoye, Oyeyimika Adeboye (MD Cadbury), Belinda Ikazoboh, Junadia Danso-Edim, Kate Henshaw Ace Nollywood actress and others were SheCan DoMore 4.0 conference.
Tara Fela-Durotoye, disclosed how she put structures and training of staff to boost her brand as House of Tara as household name. According to her, “Women and young girls should be able to ‘Be More’ in every facet of life irrespective of their background, gender, religion and their limitations, to be able to give their best to the society, saying that career know no gender.”
Lanre Olusola, Life coach and the catalyst encouraged the participants to learn unlearn and relearnt. He emphasized that there are some limiting beliefs that have hindered their achievement and successful life styles. Olusola advised all participants to accept universal beliefs, never holdfast to wrong and limiting beliefs.
Oyeyimika Adeboye, Managing Director, Cadbury took the participants through memory lane how she practically work in the various departments of sales, marketing, financial accounting before she rose to become the first Female MD Cadbury. According to her, she learnt from everyone across her path with humility. Adeboye appreciated her husband , families and friends as support system.
Belinda Ikazoboh, Top Female Shell Oil Company Manager said she declutters by dancing taking breaks, taking difficult and challenge tasks in her organisation, where nobody wants to dare, with God support ,team work and perseverance they achieve success.
Kate Henshaw Ace Nollywood actress advised the women to add layers to themselves, learning a new skills, do things they love, have a life and add their quota to the society. She charged them to be limitless like a child, dream big and achieve them.
She recounted how she lost her hard earned money on Nigeria politics and learnt a great deal from there opened doors of opportunities.Henshaw urged them to do what the Generation Z is doing like be techie savy , learn their latest dance steps, use their language so as to be relevant.
Rev Funke Felix Adejumo, urged women to do more and bring a lot back home to ease the pressure on the man’s side and help the economy.She advised them to look inward, diversify in the business to carter for themselves, families and society.
