On Monday, December 16, 2024, the Customs Area Controller of the FCT Area Command and his management team warmly welcomed His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Adeyeye Anitan Babatunde Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, during a special familiarization visit to the Command’s office complex, located off Bill Clinton Drive, Airport Road, FCT-Abuja.

FCT Area Command, DSC Jude Tavershima Ansha, it states that despite the visit being arranged on short notice, the Ooni expressed deep appreciation for the warm reception extended to him. During his visit, His Majesty shared that the primary purpose of his trip was to personally check on the progress of one of their own, a member of the royal lineage serving in the Customs. He conveyed his admiration for the Controller’s remarkable achievements and the significant contributions made to the service, highlighting his pride in the strides taken by one of their sons in such an esteemed position. The Ooni’s visit underscored the bond between tradition and public service, celebrating both heritage and progress.
In his response, the Customs Area Controller expressed profound gratitude to the Ooni of Ife for honoring him with such a distinguished visit.
