Global Win Lottery has rewarded participants in its maiden lottery programme with a scholarship worth up to N5 million and international passports.

The move according to Global Win is to provide a platform for Nigerians to achieve their educational and leisure dreams.

The Managing Director, Straight Records Ltd organisers of The Global Win, Dr. Afam Mbanefo, at the unveiling of the Global Win draw ceremony in Lagos, said the initiative is aimed at driving exposure and hope in the academic and vocational leisure industry.

“What we are doing is to bring value to Nigerians playing an important role by helping the country as well and being part of the growth of this nation in our own way. Nigeria, obviously, as we know is rated to be the most happiest people in the world and we want to drive fun without losing focus, with the strategic objective of trying to make sure that we are bringing this value in academic and leisure environment,” he said.
According to him, exposure is a vital tool for creating value and education, saying that the more exposed Nigerians are, the more experienced they are in achieving their set goals and objectives.
Going forward, he said Global Win would be conducting international programmes consisting of BSC, PhD and other short academic programmes.

“We have got a group of people who won international passport, that is a prelude and also the next game coming by next month, we will be drawing the international games. So the way we structure the game is such that every body who plays in various categories would have the opportunity to have experience of studying in UK, Canada and America.

Growth and Business Development Manager, Straight Records Limited, Dolapo Esho, stated that The Global Win is an initiative that promises to change the lives of Nigerian youth with opportunities they will normally not get. “It is a game of chance, and we are encouraging them not to play away with their future, so we encourage them to take that step towards changing their lives.

“We understand the economic challenges happening, and this initiative gives back while at the same time helping parents who cannot afford tuition right now because things are hard, so this one will help you to be ready anytime and attend any university of your choice, and with this, we are creating a new opportunity for people who just feel surreal,” she said.

Also speaking, the Lottery Manager, Global Win, Adekunle Adebayo, said lottery is a form of wealth redistribution, providing an avenue for people to realize their hope from a pool of collection.
“We implore every individual to key into this initiative where they can have the opportunity of studying abroad in the US, UK and Canada. You can have your BSC or master’s degree programme or PhD done in any of the university of your choice in Nigeria, and also an opportunity for people who want to travel on tour especially those who want to go on their honeymoon,” he added
On her part, the Marketing Manager, Global Win Lottery, Chidinma Okereke, said the event was to show off the winners of its international passport and national study game, stressing that for the national study game, it has given its lucky winner up to 5 million naira in scholarships to study in any private university in Nigeria.

“So today we showed our ticket pool of our various players. We generated the article numbers and also showed their names. So we all know the problems in Nigeria in terms of how our standard of living just shuts off. We saw the gap where people need to upskill and increase their capacity to earn more money and we believe this game would go a long way in helping Nigerians particularly our youths,” she said.
At the event, one lucky winner, Akinlolu Adeogun, went home with grand prize of up to N5 million worth of scholarship to study in any private university in Nigeria while five other participants won international passports.
