Outreach Women and Children Hospital Group/Crown Specialist Hospitals and Medico-Experts India have successfully treats Fibroids and Piles through Laparoscopic and Laser Surgeries in Groundbreaking Surgical Outreach.

Utilizing advanced laparoscopic surgery techniques alongside state-of-the-art laser surgery, the outreach program has provided effective relief for patients.
She added tha over the course of five days, a team of highly skilled surgeons and medical professionals from Medicover Hospitals, India conducted a comprehensive surgical outreach campaign focused on addressing the prevalent health issues of fibroids and piles in our community.
Among the medical team who performed the different surgeries were Dr. Ammetkumar Patil, lead surgeon ,Dr Pushkar Galam- General Surgery,Dr Abhishek Patil-Orthopaedic joints replacements & Arthroscopic surgeries.
The patients came from within and outside the country (a patient flew in from Denmark for her procedure), and they were all very satisfied.
According to her, The outreach Programme aimed to not only alleviate symptoms but also raise awareness about the available treatment options. Six patients were relieved of thier piles through Laser Surgery, and three patients had fibroids operated on using laparascopic surgery.
She stressed that Laparoscopic surgery, a minimally invasive procedure, was the primary method used to successfully treat fibroids and piles in the majority of patients. This technique involves making small incisions through which a laparoscope, a thin tube with a camera, and surgical instruments, are inserted. The laparoscope provides surgeons with a clear view of the surgical site, allowing for precise and targeted treatment.
“This approach results in less pain, reduced scarring, shorter recovery times, and improved overall patient outcomes.”In addition to laparoscopic surgery, laser surgery was employed in some cases to deliver precise and effective treatment. “Laser surgery utilizes a high-intensity light beam to remove or shrink fibroids and provide relief from piles. This cutting-edge technique offers the advantages of minimal bleeding, reduced tissue damage, and increased precision, further enhancing patient recovery and outcomes.”
Dr. Dosekun expressed her appreciation of the Surgeons’ skills and dexterity in handling these complex cases (there was a patient with over 37 Fibroids).
