THE birthday bash of Siju Iluyomade, a renowned lawyer, pastor, and founder of Arise Women Foundation and Handmaidens Women in Leadership Series, has sparked diverse reactions. Siju, married to the pastor of Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of David, Victoria Island, Lagos, Idowu Iluyomade, marked her 60th birthday in grand style on February 18, 2024, at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Despite the presence of distinguished guests, including billionaires and monarchs, some have criticized the lavish celebration, especially coming shortly after the tragic demise of a prominent church member, Herbert Wigwe, his wife, Chizoba, and their first child, Chizi.
Reacting to this, popular on-air personality and radio show host, Daddy Freeze, while on Arise News, said the lady should have just canceled the event as she was judged from the point of expectation. He said, “How do you mourn a loss when you are throwing a party? This man died with his wife and his first son and if they are going to a better place, what about the heir to his empire? If he died alone, we understand, but it is the most mournful death I have heard of”.
When asked if Pastor Siju should have played it down, Daddy Freeze said “I think they should have just canceled the event”.
