    The town of Okpolo/Enhwe in Isoko South Council Delta state, was literally a beehive of activity as one of Delta’s business colossus and Chairman of Dewayles Group of Companies, High Chief Victor Egukawhore, hosted the governor of Delta state, Sheriff Oborevwori.

An illustrious son of Okpolo/Enhwe kingdom and entrepreneur extraordinare, High Chief Egukawhore is popular amongst the people having influenced the berthing of several development projects to Isoko nation and other parts of Delta state.

After a lengthy friendly chats Governor Oborewori and High Chief Egukawhore settled down for the business of the day; they discussed several issues including infrastructural development of the state and equity contributions to drive the agenda.

High Chief Egukawhore used the august meeting to appreciate the governor for the projects in the kingdom and Isoko nation in general, especially the newly completed Okpolo/Enhwe/Uwheru road constructed by Emorock Concept Limited, which the governor commissioned.

Chief Egukawhore said “Today is a very happy moment not just for me as an individual but to the people of Isoko nation. We saw the road the governor just commissioned in the locality here, it’s a thing of pride for us. Under a hundred days of the governor in office he chose our locality as one of the sites for one of the major projects that he came to commission today. So it’s real happy moment for all of us.

“We talked about a lot of things one on one. I did mention to the governor that he should be ready for more project commissioning. His visit today is significant for us and an indication that he’s ready for the development of the state, because I’m going to partner with the state in terms of quality contributions, so I’ll need a lot of his support in a lot of things I’ll love to do for the state.

High Chief Egukawhore described the governor’s 100 days in office as “miraculous” because of the number projects the governor had executed in the state, with several of them in Isoko nation.

“it’s miraculous because other than the projects he’s commissioning now he has done much more. If you follow the news trend you’ll see the various projects he has approved for execution, and over sixty percent of those projects are in the hub, in Warri, which every one of us are part of. You know Warri is a major city in the state – if he has the aspiration to bring Warri back to limelight as an oil city, I’m very proud of that” he said.

The governor was accompanied personalities top government functionaries, they included the deputy Governor, HIs Excellency Chief Monday Onyeme, the PDP Delta State Party Chairman Olorogun (Barrister) Kingsley Esisio, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).

To cap it all, others included senior Senators, Chief of Staff, Members of House of Representatives, Member representing Isoko South, constituency, Director of Ministries and Head of parastatals, the Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area,Traditional rulers and captains of industries.
