According to Punch News, the Kogi State Police Command recently arrested a young man identified as Jeremiah after he kidnapped and killed a young girl named Damilola.

According to the details of the incident, the victim was a 100 level Student of Biology at the Federal University Lokoja, Kogi State. The killer Jeremiah is from Kaduna State and also said to be a student. He however, told the police thate he came to work in Kogi.

The suspect had lured Damilola to an uncompleted building and kidnapped her. He then asked her family for ransom and they paid him ₦400,000, but he did not release her. He said that she tried to escape after she saw his face and knew who he was, so he decided to kill her and drag her body to a b
Jeremiah then asked Damilola’s family for 10 million Naira before the police traced him and arrested him. According to a viral video, shared on 12th September, 2024, after he was arrested, he took the police to the bush, where her body was, but the police noticed some organs like her heart, lungs and private parts were missing. When the police asked about the organs, he said that he was not the person that cut out her organs and that he only strangled her and dumped her. He also told the police that he killed her alone, but they did not believe him.
