      The Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command nabbed two brothers Ayomide Babtunde and Gbenga Babatunde for allegedly kidnapping a woman and her son for ritual purposes. The development which was confirmed by the command’s spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi that the two brothers were arrested by men of the Ogun state police command in the early hours of December 30th, 2022.

The prime suspect who’s the older brother, Ayomide Babatunde allegedly intended to sell his girlfriend and her son. The supposed buyer who’s identified as one Jacob Olorunto had consented to buy the two people. However, he had a plan to report them to the police. In the middle of the night at the home of Jacob Olorunto, some youths in Igbo Obe stormed the house and trapped the two suspects in a collaboration with the Police.

The older brother who’s the main suspect has alleged that he wanted to sell his girlfriend because she started having an affair with another man. He said, ”I met my girlfriend about a few months ago. We were so intimate and she wanted us to get married. But I didn’t want to marry her because she already has a son. I really don’t know if she saw through my intention but I discovered that she started cheating on me. I didn’t want to lose her to another man so I called my younger brother and told him to find how we can sell her and her son.

My brother got the contact of a baba who wanted to buy the two of them from us at the rate of N600,000. So I lured my girlfriend to follow me to the buyer’s house, I told her we are going to my father house to spend the new year. When we got to the house, the baba who wanted to buy her and the son treated us well. But I noticed that he kept on going out and coming in. At around 11 pm in the midnight, some boys stormed the house and seized all our phones while they took us to the police station.”
