“YES, I Filmed Her & Posted It On Social Media Bcos She Refused To Marry Me” – Suspect √√ The Scoper Media

Few moments ago, a gender-based violence suspect named Arome Danjuma was reported by the Nigerian Tribune to have narrated how he assaulted Miss Alami who turned down his marriage proposal.

The suspect said, “it is true that I filmed her and posted it on the internet (social media) because she refused to marry me.” He added, “I was able to carry out the act through the help of my friends.”

The assaulted lady, who hails from Kogi state’s Dekina local government, gave her account of the incident saying, “after I turned down his approach for marriage, he attacked me when I was returning from work and forced me into his house. Another friend of his, who was armed, was waiting there before I was forced there. I did all they wanted because they threatened to kill me. Their aim is to ruin my life because they filmed me and publicized it.”

Reacting to the incident was the state’s Commissioner of Women Affairs who described the incident as one of the most barbaric in recent times.

The Kogi state’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Supritendent William Aya, confirmed the incident and assured the public that all hands will be on deck to ensure that the culprit faces the full wrath of the law. He also noted that the accomplice is on the run and would be nabbed in no time.
