The President and members of Ilupeju Diamond Lions Club, an humanitarian service club, under the auspecies of the Lions Club International held their monthly service activity entitled “Go Green”, a community project which focuses on ‘Environment’
The Club decide to embark on this seeing that every day number of trees disappear from the face of the earth. When there are other ways of generating paper products, trees are still being used largely. Thus they felt It’s high time now, that we stop this mean destruction, before we forget the colour green.
The Club’s Service Chairperson, Lion Olatundun Omosaiye said we must save the environment through tree plantation and adoption by public and corporate participation and support where people can plant, gift, donate and adopt trees online in just one click from their home/office on different occasions and celebrations.
On this basis however, the club decided to plant the trees at the Ilupeju Park. It was a beautiful project attended by key members of the club.
