A lady identified as Maureen who is a mother of three has narrated how her husband horribly brutalized her by using a machete to cut her fingers and also plucked off one of her eyes causing her to be deformed.
Maureen who recounted how she got married when she was 15 years stated that her husband was over-protective towards her and wouldn’t allow her to talk to any man, not even his friends.
He used to lock her up in the house while leaving for work to make sure that she doesn’t have any encounter with another man and would threaten to kill her if she ever have a relationship with any other man.
According to her, when things became hard for them, she pleaded with him to allow her to work, which he did.
However, owing to the nature of her job, she visited her family once in a while, and on one of the occasions when she came to visit them, she saw he had married another woman.
Maureen who wasn’t pleased with this threatened to leave the marriage, but after many dreadful threats from her husband, she decided to stay.
Opera News revealed that one day, she told him that she wanted to go back to her working place to get the balance of her pay, the man agreed but felt it was a strategy to leave the marriage.
So while they were discussing outside, the second wife gave the man a machete and he used it to cut her several times until she became unconscious.
After, he went to the police and reported himself while saying that he can’t leave without Maureen. The second wife also fled to date.
