Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has nominated Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo-Kawu and Abubakar Sadiq Buhari as Commissioner-nominees for Ilorin South Local Government Area and Edu Local Government Area respectively.
This was contained in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, on Wednesday in Ilorin.
Ajakaye said Modibbo-Kawu is a cabinet returnee renowned for her strengths, while Buhari is a newbie who comes with a strong local support, commitment to the administration’s programmes and a good network of admirers across the new media milieu.
He was until his appointment the representative of Kwara North Senatorial District at the National Youth Parliament.
Meanwhile, the governor has appointed new Special Assistants, including Mohammed Alhassan (Agric, North), Mohammed Abdullahi (Agric, Central), Ismail Belle (Transport, North), and Adewara Olugbenga (Teacher, South).
Others are Isiaka Olalabi (Teacher, Central), Babatunde Richard, (Agric, South), Rashidat Olateju (Urban Market, South) and Umulkhaera Ahmed-Alaye (Urban Market, Central).
Ajakaye said the appointments of the special aides took immediate effect.
