Lady, 28, Jailed For Destroying Man’s Property Over Refusal To Get Married To Her 🎯 The Scoper Media

A 28-year old lady, Onyiyechi Nwokoma, has bagged six months jail term with an option of three months community service for attacking and destroying the property of a man, Steven Eze, over refusal to get married to her as was prophesied by her Prophet in Lagos State.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that it was the judgment of the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. J .Ugbomoiko of the Ogba Magistrate Court, who found her guilty for criminal misconduct and sentenced her accordingly.
The convicted Onyiyechi was arraigned before the Court for disturbing the man’s peace by attacking and destroying his property at his shop located at Church Street, Apex area of Alagbado, Lagos, where he owns a photographic studio and Onyiyechi as well owns a tailoring shop.

According to the Police, Onyiyechi met the man, Eze, at his shop and told him that she went to a church and her Prophet told her that he was her husband and he should marry her.

She also told Eze to accept as she was ready to cater for all the expenses regarding their marriage because she had made reasonable amount of money from her business.
However, Eze declined and told her that he was not ready for marriage and if he actually wanted to get married, she was not the kind of woman he would like to get married to because he was more educated than her.

The decision did not go down well with Onyiyechi as she insisted that Eze must get married to her as was purportedly prophesied by her prophet. From that point, she resorted to threatening Eze over the marriage issue.

She was said to have gone to Eze’s shop and destroyed some of his properties on three different occasions in order to force him to get married to her. The man then became afraid and informed his family members about what was happening.

The matter was reported to the Police at Alagbado Division. She was arrested, detained and then warned not to disturb or destroy Eze’s property but she continued.
She was subsequently charged before the Court for the alleged offence under the Criminal Laws of the State.

She pleaded guilty while accepting before the Magistrate that she knew what she was doing to enable Eze to get married to her as prophesied by her Prophet.

The prosecutor, Inspector Lucky Ihiehie, then presented the facts of the matter and asked the Court to sentence her accordingly because she had already pleaded guilty to the alleged offence.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. Ugbomoiko, found her guilty as charged and sentenced her accordingly. She was moved to the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, to serve her jail sentence.
