LG Chairman Empowers Ikorodu Residents With Cooking Gas Cylinders }{ The Scoper Media

    About IOOO residents of lkorudu Local Government Area have benefited from LG largesse of gas Cylinders Palatives and bags of rice as celebrate the yuletide.
Hon. Wasiu Ayodeji Adesina lkorudu Local Government addressing the people at the Council Secretariat in Lagos. Said the gesture is to cushion the impact of fuel subsidy, lkorudu Local Government has colaboration with Smart Gas to provide Home cooking Gas Cylinders as Palatives for them.

He disclosed that these cylinders is a practical step towards a more convenient, healthier and environmentally friendly cooking solution, reducing health risks associated with smoke inhalation minimizing carbon emissions and curbing deforestation.

Adesina maintained that distribution Intiative aims not only to alleviate immediate challenges but also to empower our residents particularly, women enabling them to contribute to the economic growth of the communities.
He assured them that the distribution of cooking Gas Cylinders distribution will go round the people because it comes in batches.

The council boss concluded that his administration has previously distributed Pallatives such as food items, scholarships, educational forms, granted awards for deserving beneficiaries.

Dr Yinka Opeke, Chief Executive officer Smart Gas, said the use of firewood and charcoal for cooking not only impacts our environment negatively due to emissions but also our health because of the smoke we inhale, and the most affected are women and children.

As a nation, we face different environmental challenges that constantly threaten our living conditions or livelihood as a people.

She disclosed that Smart Gas is here to promote the use of cooking gas as a safer alternative to kerosene, firewood and charcoal and to educate them on the importance of a cleaner and healthier environment for you and the society.

These cylinders are expensive to purchase and the only way they can show our partners that they appreciate their donations is by using it so that they are encouraged to do more for others. She cautioned them on how to use the gas, without black pots, or emit smoke that makes them cough, they don’t have to fan it or sit by it to monitor the flame, all they need to do is turn it on and off. Don’t give it away or try to sell it .
Princess Adebukola- Iya Loja lkorudu central appreciated the government and Council for palliatives because different associations of the market,artisans, traders and others were beneficiaries.
She appreciated the gesture and commitment to giving back by the council and ensuring the dividends of democracy reach our grassroot people..
