Lotus Bank, Others Sponsors Unilag Vice Chancellor’s Games 🎊 The Scoper Media

 

    The University of Lagos Sports Center under the office of the Vice Chancellor Professor Folasade Ogunsola OON,FAS, and under the sports council Chairmanship of Professor Afolabi Lesi, The Unilag Ag. Director of Sports and all Sports center coaches who are the organizers of the University of Lagos yearly inter- faculties games popularly known as the Vice Chancellor’s Cup competition have released the schedule for the much-awaited games which will hold between 23rd of January and 26th of January 2024*.

*The University of Lagos Vice Chancellor’s Game Competition will have 13 faculties slugging it out among themselves, it has been designed to foster unity among students of various faculties within the institution, and to be able to discover talented athletes that will be representing the University during the forthcoming Nigerian University Games NUGA, WAUG, FASU,FISU and other National and international competitions as well as encouraging the participants to pursue their sporting dreams alongside their academics*

*In a press statement signed by the organizers the 2024 event will span for 1 week and it promises to be a more exciting event as the activities will involve different sporting events from football, and track and field events amongst different faculties*

*To Highlight the essence of the competition, there will be a pre-competition lecture to be delivered by a season Sports Administrator Prof.R. A Moronfolu from the Department of Human Kinetics and Sports Science Lagos State University Ojoo with the theme:- ‘Sports Talent Identification and Development: The Role of Corporate Organizations In Perspective” the organizers noted that it will amongst others things develop a deliberate sponsorship deal that will be planned, sustained and be of mutually beneficial to all parties, the university, brands, and Athletes image boosting*.

*The statement said all the listed events both track and field would be held within the university campus sports complex as it emphasized that the indoor sports hall facility is a standard facility that was used for the 2022 NUGA games, which can conveniently host an average seating capacity of over 2000 guests at a go*.

*To achieve the greatness that the competition Commands, this year’s event has attracted some prominent sponsors which include Lotus Bank the Lead Sponsor, Peak Milk which is the official drink partner for the competition, and other supporting sponsors like Sovereign Trust Insurance & Bobo Foods Limited*

*The official opening ceremony of the event will be performed by the first female Vice Chancellor of the institution Professor Folasade Tolulope Ogunsola OON FAS. and she will perform the kick off on Tuesday 23rd of January 2024.
