As IGP Egbetokun Decorates Ari Mohammed Ali with New Rank

Today, the new Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of North Central, DIG Mohammed Ari Ali assumed office with family and friends felicitating with him on the new role. The decoration ceremony which took place at the Force Headquarters, Abuja had the Inspector-General of Police,
IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun do the honors of decorating him with his new elevation rank as Deputy Inspector-General of Police, DIG. Also in attendance were the wife of the new DIG Ari Ali, Hajia Zainab Mohammed Ali, DIG Force CID, DIG Abiodun Alabi, DIG Frank Mba, among others senior officers.
His trusted ally and Board Member of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr. Ayo Ogunsan was also in attendance. In his congratulatory message made available to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP to the newly elevated DIG at the brief ceremony, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan expressed joy at the giant strides that DIG Ari Mohammed Ali has made over the years in the course of his policing career. Urging him to continue,
Dr. Ogunsan stated: ‘Our new DIG sir, I am particularly excited about your growth in your policing career. You have put excellence forward right from your days as a junior officer till you are now on this exalted position of Force Headquarters Management.
Please do not relent. Keep giving your best to the safety and security of Nigerians across the country and especially, to the people of North Central.’ ‘You are a great personality. No two roles are the same, I encourage you to give your 100 percent effort. I wish you all the best in this new phase. May the Lord Almighty grant you the wisdom required to succeed in this new role.’
Until his promotion as Deputy Inspector-General of Police, DIG Ari was the immediate past AIG Zone 1, Kano. It will be recalled that the Police Service Commission had announced the promotion and appointment of AIG Ari Mohammed Ali as the new Deputy Inspector General of Police, DIG North Central to replace DIG Ade Ayuba about a week ago.
