American, former boxing champion, Mike Tyson and Palestinian-American hip hop star, DJ Khaled are in the holy city of Makkah, Saudi Arabia, performing Umrah, the lesser pilgrimage.
On Friday night, Khaled Mohammed Khaled known professionally as DJ Khaled took to Instagram to post an image, with the caption:
- “We on our way to MECCA GOD DID! Bless up my brother @miketyson and father of Tyson. More love more blessings more life GOD IS THE GREATEST!.”
In another post sighted by Muslim News Islamtainment, DJ Khaled and Mike Tyson were seen doing Tawaf (walking in circles around the Kaaba in an anti-clockwise motion).
Dj Khaled captioned the post, “The second I walked into Mecca, tears came down my eyes. Tears of joy. My whole life, I wanted to go to Mecca, to pray and to give my gratitude to Allah. I prayed for the world for more love, more life, more peace, more joy, more happiness, more health and protection for all of us! GOD IS THE GREATEST!!!!! It’s so beautiful we all ONE LOVE here GOD DID!!!!!!! Bless up my brother @miketyson.”

DJ Khaled is known to describe himself as a devout Muslim often. At different interviews he had granted, the 46-year-old Musician always made it know that rap is life as well as being a Muslim for him.
According to him, “It’s life for me. I was born Muslim. My family raised me Muslim. It’s beautiful, it’s amazing, it’s incredible and it has put so many blessings upon me and my family.
- “My faith has helped make me the man I am right now, with the love and respect that I put out there. I love anybody that loves God. That’s what I am about,” he told Esquire in 2018.

Findings by Muslim News Islamtainment revealed that the great Iron Mike Tyson embraced Islam during his three-year stint in prison between 1992 and 1995, and adopted the Muslim name Malik Abdul Aziz.
Upon his release from the Indiana Youth Centre, the former world heavyweight champion regularly discussed his newfound faith in a number of interviews, where he disclosed that he was very moved after reading books on Islam and decided to become a Muslim since he saw Islam as a religion of peace.
It would be recalled that on December 1, Bollywood‘s actor, Shah Rukh Khan took the internet by storm after his photos from his first ever Umrah surfaced online. And needless to say, SRK’s visuals from the holy city of Makkah won millions of hearts and are still doing rounds on the internet.
Umrah is an Islamic pilgrimage to the holiest city for Muslims, Makkah, which can be performed at any time of the year. It consists of performing different acts of worship in the Masjid Al Haram.
