Two domestic staff members of the late Mrs. Olakunbi Adene, who was a well-known caterer and the CEO of Kitchen Country in Akure, the Ondo State capital, have admitted to killing their boss after she cooked a delicious meal for them.
According to The Vanguard, it was reported that the deceased prepared the meal for her domestic staff as a gesture of appreciation to them, two days after her 54th birthday, but they still killed her.
However, it was reported that after she entertained them that same night, they killed her.
It should be remembered that the late CEO of Kitchen Country in Akure, the capital of Ondo State, was murdered at her residence on Oda Road in Akure, few months after wedding.
More information that was given made it known that the two suspects were arrested last week in Akure and Idanre, after policemen tracked down the two Android phones they had stolen from the deceased after her murder.
A police source, who spoke to Vanguard correspondent on condition of anonymity said, “The first suspect was tracked to Idanre, where the driver was said to have fled while the second Android phone was tracked to Akure.”
Further talking, the police source said, “One of the suspects said the three of them (Driver, P/A and another friend) went to their late boss’ house, who cooked for them on that fateful Thursday and after eating the delicious food, they descended on her, gagged her mouth and used two big cutlasses they brought along to severe her head while she was pleading to them to spare her life.”
The police source alleged the suspect said that the generator was on between 6p.m and 7p.m when they killed her, and the deafening noise of the generator did not let others know what was happening
