MY ENCOUNTERS WITH THE JIBRILS ~ The Scoper Media

 By Shamsudeen Abdurazak Gidado

Taking a cue from Nana Muhammad , about helping people who have giving enough to the society and maybe they are not celebrated enough to loud their trumpet. So I will like to share my encounters with the Jibrils.

The first Jibril I met is Dr Fatimah Jibril Abduldayan our path crossed when I was in year two in the University when took us a course in second Semester of that session, she showed genuine interest in my Academic pursuit since then and in my final in the University She got me published in an Academic journal and gave me the opportunity to Present my findings at the Nigerian Library Association Niger State Annual conference tagged BIDA 2017. Post graduation She has been helping in my Academic Pursuit especially in my Post Graduate Pursuit.

This year February She bagged a PhD in Library and Information Technology from Federal University of Technology, Minna. Fatima is the Chairperson of the Nigerian Library Association Niger State Chapter.

Fresh out of the University I had ideas running in my head and the need to tell the stories of Muslim Professionals and I reached out to a couples of Media Production Company to produce my content it all came with a no buy on getting across to the Second Jibril Ibrahim he not only bought the idea we started Production immediately. And Since then I have got the opportunity to work with his organisation and he has always supported my professional growth. Engr Jibril Ibrahim is the CEO of I-Media TV . He was recently inducted into the International Association of Research Scholars and Administrators (IARSA).

He was awarded the 2022 Honorary Fellowship (FCRSA-Hon Fellow
Certified Research Scholar and Administrator in Media Research and Reporting).

I met the two Jibrils at two different levels, they got to know that we have mutual connections and I have had the opportunity of meeting two other Jibrils.

P.S The Jibrils Family of Rogun (Patigi) in Kwara State are Nupes who are colonised in Yoruba Culture . The Family is large one with 11 Children from a single mother. Many grand children. And one fun fact about them is even the grand Children don’t do away with the Jibril.

P.S.S As they Celebrate Life Accomplishments this year I am glad that I am associated with them.
