It was a wild jubilation and excitement laced with all manners of thanks to Almighty Allah for the Muslim Community of the University of Ibadan as Oyindamola Bidemi Yusuf became first Muslim female Professor in the College of Medicine of the 74 years tertiary institution.
Prof. Oyindamola Bidemi Yusuf was promoted to the rank of Professor by the Appointments and Promotion Committee under the Senate Chairman and Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Kayode Adebowale.
Prof. Yusuf is of the Department of Epidemiology and Medical Statistics, Faculty of Public Health.
She had uninterrupted academic journey from her first degree to doctorate degree all in University of Ibadan.
She has over 50 publications in local and international journals. Prof. Yusuf was the Head of Department of Epidemiology and Medical Statistics between 2016 and 2018.
