SAMMIE OKPOSO: Fresh Report Emerges On How Gospel Singer Died ✓ The Scoper Media

A different story has emerged about the death of gospel singer, Sammie Okposo.
Reports earlier had claimed that the Welu Welu crooner slumped and died on Friday while receiving some treatments for his health.

A different story, however, has been told by Okposo’s project manager, Hillary Vincent. According to him, the reports that the singer slumped in his Lekki, Lagos, residence on Friday morning were not true.

Vincent, while interacting with Sunday Scoop said Okposo slept and never woke up. He said the family of the deceased will give details about the incident later, but he can confirm that Okposo didn’t slump and was rushed to the hospital as claimed in the media earlier.

He said: “It is not true that Sammie slumped and died. That report is false. At the right time, the family will set the records straight. But, I can tell you authoritatively that he did not slump. Rather, he just did not wake up from his sleep.

As regards the funeral arrangements, the details will be made known by the family. But right now, they are still in grief and mourning the departed singer.”

Naija News reports that Okposo’s death was received as a shock to his many lovers and colleagues in the entertainment industry. The deceased is versed in singing praise songs and was best known for songs such as Welu Welu, which was on his first album, Unconditional Love.

Na only You was another popular song that was contained in the album No More Drama. The album featured other gospel singers such as Kefee, Essence, Ige Samsong, and Soji Isreal.

Another of his songs, Sing Hallelujah, was released in 2019, but it has continued to make waves, especially in gospel circles.

In 2020, he released Chukwu Ebube, a contemporary Afrocentric that featured Micheal Stuckey.
