In a grand revelation echoing through the halls of the RHRA Committee, the esteemed Assistant Governor, Ehi Braimah, stood tall, his words resonating with authority and anticipation. Alongside him, the illustrious Publisher of Naija Times Online Newspaper, added a flourish of excitement to the air. Together, they unveiled a momentous decree: fifteen categories destined to be adorned with prestigious awards. As whispers of anticipation swept through the audience, the stage was set for a celebration of excellence that would echo through the annals of time.

According to Rotary International District 9110 District Governor, Ifeyinwa Rita Ejezie, “ the awards is aimed at strengthening the partnership between Rotary and the media by recognizing journalists and media organizations with an outstanding record of reportage of our District and Clubs humanitarian intervention projects in the communities”.

In a glittering ceremony celebrating the power of media in amplifying humanitarian efforts, Braimah’s Awards dazzled with its diverse categories, honoring the unsung heroes behind the coverage of Rotary Clubs and RI D9110 activities.

From the airwaves to the printed page, media luminaries vied for recognition as the Best Television Station, Radio Station, Newspaper, and Online platforms in their dedicated reportage of club initiatives and polio eradication campaigns.

But the accolades didn’t stop there Outdoor promotions and celebrity endorsements took center stage, acknowledging those who lend their voices to the cause of polio eradication with grace and influence.

Among the esteemed guests, the Provost of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Mr. Gbenga Adefaye, set the tone with a stirring keynote, while the presence of Dr. John Momoh, Chairman of Channels Media Group, added a touch of prestige as the Special Guest of Honor.

Presiding over the affair were distinguished figures such as Prince Julius Adelusi-Adeluyi, former Minister of Health, and Aremo Olusegun Osoba, former Governor of Ogun State, lending their weight to the importance of humanitarian reporting.

With over 140 Rotary clubs and 5,000 Rotarians actively participating in the nominations, the event was a testament to the collective effort in showcasing the impact of service above self through the lens of media excellence.
