During the interview, the suspect said, “I am 30 year-old and I belong to the aiye Confraternity. On that day, I followed my friend and other members of our confraternity when they went to the shop of someone, a POS agent, to matchet him but I didn’t join them in the act (of matcheting).”
Speaking further, the suspected cultist said, “the main reason why they went to attack that person is because members of his own confraternity (eiye) killed one of us. We had to go there to retaliate.”
Lastly, the suspected cultist said, “the POS guy they matcheted that day did not die. Unfortunately, our own member named Fawaz died. He was our number four (4).”
