When I Studied Overseas You Travelled Continents Just To See Me For A Couple Of Minutes- Tochi Wigwe ๐ŸŽŠ The Scoper Media

In her tribute to her father, Tochi Wigwe, a daughter to the late Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings Plc, Herbert Wigwe, has described him as a man who created time for his family despite how busy he was.

She said that she could never understand how her late father managed to do all the things he did, turning everything he laid his hands on to gold. She added that her father was a huge support system to his family and friends, and that distance was not a barrier to him.

Controlling the flow of tears from her eyes, Tochi said that even when she was studying abroad, her father would still create time to come and see her even if it was just for a few minutes.

In the video of the Night of Tributes which was shared by Arise TV, Tochi said that she could never forget how her late father used to check up on her when she was in school to ensure that she was doing her work.

She added that whenever she talked about her father, she always made people to understand that he was someone who believed in gender equality.

She said, “I can never fathom how you managed to do it all, it seemed inconceivable, turning everything you touched to gold while remaining an unwavering anchor for your family and friends. Distance meant absolutely nothing to you. Even when I studied overseas, you travelled continents just to see me for a couple of minutes before heading back to your responsibilities.”

Speaking further, Tochi added, “Whenever your name graces my lips, I make sure to emphasize that my father was a feminist, a champion of equality.”

Wigwe died alongside his wife and son after the helicopter they were in crashed in the United States. The United States authorities said that the accident was due to weather conditions.
