….As PSC Elevates 8053 Senior Police Officers

The promotion spree in the Nigeria Police as approved by the Police Service Commission under the leadership of the Commission’s Chairman, DIG Hashimu Argungu rtd has brought new ranks for many officers and glad tidings into many homes this Yuletide season. Among the newly elevated officers are the Divisional Police officer of Iponri division under the Area C Police Command of Lagos State Police Command, SP Matilda Umiah Ngbaronye; the Zonal Public Relations Officer, Zone 2, SP Umma Ayuba; PPRO Lagos Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, DPO Isasi Division, Lagos Command, SP Talabi Segun; DCO, Onne Port Division, SP Anjuguri Manzah; Zonal Public Relations Officer Zone 13 Ukpo, SP Ihunwo Josephine among other 1342 now elevated to the next rank as Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs), National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP can report.
The promotions were announced on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, during the concluding consideration of recommendations from its Standing Committee on Police Promotions chaired by DIG Taiwo Lakanu rtd, fdc.
It will be recalled that on Wednesday 18th December, the Police Service Commission elevated 8048 senior officers among which are 1348 CSPs. The press statement e-signed and released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP by Ikechukwu Ani, Head of Press and Public Relations of the Police Service Commission, announcing their promotion stated that, ‘the Commission today approved the promotion of 1348 Superintendents of Police to the next rank of Chief Superintendents.’
