Amuwo Odofin Muslim Community on Sunday, 31st October 2021 celebrated 1443AH Maolid Nabbiy amidst fun and pageantry.
While welcoming guest to the occasion, the President of the Muslim Community, Alhaji Hakeem Tairu, who was represented by his Vice, Alhaji Mikail Agbaje, enjoined members to follow the foot step of the Holy Prophet Muhammed (SAW).
The Chairman of the Occasion, Alhaji Abdul Waheed Bimbo Oderinde, a seasoned Tax Consultant, said Maolid Nabbiy celebration is a way of demonstrating our love and veneration for the seal of all prophets, Rosulullah (SAW) who served as guideline for the Muslims today on how to live life according to Islamic teaching and be successful in this world and in the hereafter.
The Guest Lecturer, Fadilatu Sheikh Abdul Hakeem Muhammed Al-Awwal (Al-Jejewy), Amir, Ikhwan-ul-Mulimin Foundation, in his lecture entitled – Moalid Nabbiy: Fact or Fallacy said that the issue whether Maolid Nabbiy should be celebrated or not should not bring any bone of contention as Muhammed Rosulullah (SAW), is adjudged as lifeline Allah gave to the Ummah.
He stated further that there is no wrongdoing in celebrating the best of mankind who is indisputably perfect, faultless, complete in every facets of life, and ideal as a role model.
The Chief Imam of Amuwo Odofin Muslim Community, Khaifah Sheik Soliu Mayaki blessed the congregation and sought protection for the years to come.
The Chairman, Maolid Nabbiy 1443 organizing committee, Alhaji Noah Ayoola Yakub, appreciated members of the Muslim Community and guests for turning out in large number to grace the occasion.
