CAUGHT IN THE ACT: LASTMA Apprehend A Recalcitrant Commercial Bus Driver After Stabbing Colleague With Knife In Lagos √√ The Scoper Media

    Operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) on Sunday the 24th of September, 2023  arrested a driver of a painted Volkswagen ‘T4’ commercial bus (LSR 966 YE) for stabbing a Lastma Officers after being apprehended for serious traffic obstruction around costain round-about, Lagos.

Lastma Officer Olajide Olukoga ‘Bravo’ who led the enforcement team disclosed that the Volkswagen commercial ‘T4’ bus was apprehended for picking passengers on main expressway thereby causing serious traffic obstructions to other road users around costain inward Iponrin.

He disclosed further that the enforcement operations was carried out around costain round-about inward Iponrin after several warning by the government to commercial bus/private car drivers to make use of designated bus-stops before picking or  dropping passengers/friends across the State.

“Our enforcement team had successful apprehended the driver despite dangerous driving attempts to escape before he brought out knife and stabbed me”

“After seeing the deep cut he had inflicted with the knife, he decided to stripped himself naked and caused serious commotions before he was eventually arrested by Police men from Iponri Police Station”

After his arrest, dangerous weapons ‘cutlass and knife’  was recovered inside his commercial Volkswagen ‘T4’ bus by security officers.

The government had confirmed that the arrested driver would be immediately prosecuted to serve as a deterrent to other recalcitrant drivers.
