    Godman Akinlabi, Global Lead Pastor, The Elevation Church, said the church in its capacity, has been reaching out to the less priviledged, including the blind in the communities in different projects like scholarships, medical treatment empowerment and training.
He made the call at International disability Day for Christ held at the Elevation Church Lekki Lagos.

Ambassador Kelly Blind, visually-impaired and human rights activist and founder of lnner eyes Foundation, has appealed to governments and stakeholders to address the issues of disability squarely like the previous administrations.

     He lamented that over 22 million of clusters of persons of disability are being, neglected, cheated and abandoned in the Programmes and policies.
Recalled the the recent food palliatives given by the Federal government to masses, however persons of disability were not given.Kelly Blind advocated that persons with disabilities should be empowered and afforded equal opportunities to participate in the society.

Another visually impaired man, Mr Richard Okoroafor who has been blind for 32 years cry out bitterly saying the persons with disabilities are not beggars but have been left out over the years. The Special people are also faced with Nigeria’s economic challenges, they are very hard working and productive.He, therefore, urged stakeholders to ensure that fundamental human rights of persons with disabilities are not excluded from all facets.
Ambassador and Chairman 7 Stars lnter-Global Property, Moses Chukwuma Ezenwaka urged the stakeholders to continuously support these special persons.
He advised parents and caregivers to show more love and care for them
He described the gesture as life-saving despite difficult times. Ezenwaka, earlier joined lnner eye foundation presentation to give gifts to Elevation Church Lekki.
Some white canes and branded T- Shirts by 7 Stars lnter-Global Property were given , others had drinks and food, while Mrs Oboli gave some food items, sweets to all clusters of disability,

 

     Ambassador Ugo Kelechi , Chief Executive Officer Leadway Properties Ltd. also joined lnner eye foundation to worship together at the church.
According to him, we need collective efforts assist the special people, no person should be left out our circle.
Resident Pastor Debo Omotunde also added that the Elevation Church promised to continue supporting and putting smiles on the faces of special persons and the vulnerable in Lagos State.
