The Nigeria Police, Enugu State Command, today nabbed a serial internet fraud specialist, Somtochukwu Franklin, male, 26 years old, Trek Africa Newspaper can report.
Franklin of Zone 2 jamboree coal camp, Enugu usually defraud innocent people after reposting any financial request posted by one Emmanuel Oko ‘m’ alias Okwurola.
Trek Africa Newspaper gathered that during interrogation by police officers, the suspect admittedly stated that he uses Okwurola’s page because Okwulora is very popular and has about 33000 followers.
Again, that since Okwulora is a well known philantrophist (who uses his time and money to canvass and solicit fund from members of the public on behalf of sick persons), it would be easier for him to use the page to defraud people.
According to Franklin, he waits for Okwulora to post. After which he reposts the exact thing but removes the account details and puts in his own account details.
The police revealed that Franklin started the fraudulent act in January 2023. He is now cooling off in the cell.
