In a bid to continue his philanthropist gesture, Olu of Lisa kingdom, Ijoko, Ogun State, His Royal Majesty, Oba Najeemdeen Oladele Ayinla Odugbemi has donated medical equipment to facilitate the delivery of quality health care services to the people of Lisa community and environ.
The donation was made through OLADELE ODUGBEMI FOUNDATION (OOF) The foundation is a charitable Non-governmental and non-profit making Organization founded by Oba Odugbemi with a vision to reduce poverty, improving health care services to avoid infant mortality rate among the women in the agrarian communities that are neglected by the government.
The donation comprising of Generator set, Refrigerator, Mattress, Bed and other items, it’s part of the foundation’s outreach focused at providing medical support to the health sector in the community and environs. The health center was built and handover to the government by the foundation but unfortunately, it was not equipped with medical equipment needed and the foundation decided to wade in to make life comfortable for the people of Lisa.
Recieving the donation on behalf of the management,the officer in charge of the health center,mrs Olufunmbi Monsurat thanked oba Oladele for the gesture ” we are grateful for the donation because it will go a long way in reducing the stress passing through by the nursing and pregnant women in the community and environs.
As you can see, there’s no Electricity but with the provision of the Generator set ,we can preserve our drugs and also use for other things.The equipment has been of a great use since it was donated to us and we will ensure that these equipment are maximized for the patients that trust us with their health.
A nursing mother who brought her baby to the health center, mrs funmilayo opeyemi said that we are previledged to have someone like oba Odugbemi in this area I came from another community shonde to seek medical attention for my baby. We are grateful to oba Odugbemi for this laudable gesture, with all these facilities we are now relief of the stress going to the town for medical service.
Mrs Ganiyat, a resident of the community corroborated mrs opeyemi, she said we have never had it so good in the community until for a long time until oba Oladele Odugbemi brought succour to us by providing these medical equipment,not only that,the foundation also provide food stuff with stipend to ameliorate suffering in our community, she urge well meaning Nigerians to emulate him.
