A tragic incident unfolded on Friday morning at the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) campus, where a student lost his life and several others sustained injuries in a cult-related clash.
According to reports, the confrontation occurred when a group of students from Imo State University (IMSU) allegedly entered the FUTO campus on motorcycles, sparking tension and conflict.
During the altercation, the FUTO Man O War commander suffered a fatal stab wound to the neck inflicted by one of the IMSU students, leading to his immediate demise.
The loss of life and the injuries sustained have plunged the university community into mourning and disbelief.
