Concerned about raising a generation of young professionals together to collaborate, innovate, uplift one another and contribute to something greater.The Redeemed Christian Church of God, (RCCG), Youth Province 2 (YPC) recently launched its Young Professionals Club in Ajao Estate lkeja Lagos.
Dr Sola Owoeye, Visionaire & Chief Host said these youth who seek for knowledge, personal growth, refuse mediocrity are driven by desire to make a difference.The event with theme “Leveraging Network and Mentorship for professional Prosperity “brought together captains of industry , clerics, tech leaders and youths. It featured the panel session,inauguration of members, executives, Patrons and mentors.These youth exchange ideas with accomplished Entrepreneurs and captains of industries from different sectors at event.Owoeye observed that the religious organizations now observed the trends where most of youths joining other secular clubs that might initiated them into secret cults as individuals, because of connections or prominence. These actions have made some of them burn their fingers or lost their faith in God’s service in process.”There is a need for knowledgeable vibrant and strong young stars to be part of healthy religious Clubs.”
Engr (Dr) Olayemi Temowo, National Youth Pastor of RCCG said “we concerned about raising a generation of professionals who uphold the values of probity, and integrity in the market place,”
He added that the religious group aims to have 40 million people in next few years through various platforms by bettering their lives and societies.
Pastor Oke Mayowa, RCCG David’s Chamber Area Ikorodu said “The Young Professionals Club shines brightly in the realm of professionalism, offering Christian youths a platform to connect and fulfill God’s purpose for their lives. ” He added that “The Visionaire is undoubtedly a guiding force for the youth of this generation, and I envision the club becoming a nationwide phenomenon in due time.”
Speaking to Sister Olajumoke Lawal , Pharmacist and newly elected Executive Vice President Administration, told The Scoper, that the platform is for young achievers and others, learning the ropes from seasoned panelists who have impacted the society positively over the years.
Earlier, Engr. Olayinka Oluwadara -Club’s President urged youth to embrace challenges and opportunities that lie ahead with open hearts and open mind, he added that “Together there is no limit to what youth can can achieve. We have every confidence that the young professionals Club will be a beacon of inspiration and excellence for the future.
Among the panelists and entrepreneurs were Dr Bayo Olugbemi , Managing Director and Chief Executive officer First Registrars &lnvestor Services Limited,Professor Ayotunde Adebayo, Managing Partner Howes Group and University of Lagos,Head of Department Arts Education with over 40years in Manpower Development.
Others were Pastor Chijioke Okonkwo CEO Viagem Group of companies and assets , Pastor Adetola Badmus Managing Director & Chief Executive officer Petrodos Atlantic Energy and Pastor Joyce Funmilayi Nwanosike Consultant Green Tech Nig Limited and Superintendent of Police (SPY) and Mrs Eyono Fatayi-Williams-Immediate past General Manager External Relations and sustainable Development of Nigeria LNG has spend 38years at management and strategic leadership in several lndustries,
