Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq again came up for a national applause for his committed efforts, and support for security agencies to maintain peace, law and order and make the state a model of unity for the country.
The Provost, National Defence College, Abuja, Prof Adam Ahmed, gave the commendation recently when he led a delegation of Course 32 of the National Defence College Abuja, on a week-long study tour to the state.
This year’s tour to Kwara is themed: “Strengthening national unity for security and development in Nigeria: Kwara in perspective”.
Prof Ahmed noted that the people of the state are living in harmony despite their religious, tribe and other social and political differences, thereby setting a pace for emulation
“Kwara State is a model of the unity of Nigeria because people live together in harmony despite groups, religious, tribes and other social and political configurations,” he said this in Ilorin, the state capital.
“It is this that the College realizes and sends the creme-de-la-creme of its membership to visit here so that we can appraise the role the state is playing in the strengthening of the unity in the state which also fosters unity in the country”
On this basis however,that the delegation of Course 32 of the National Defence College Abuja, after visiting the kwara state governor and some other places made more step to visit the Valentine Chickens Limited Shonga. They were received by top official of the company
. Managing Director, Mr Bertus Kirsten, A senior Supervisor, Muhammad Abubakar Waziri and the Company’s Liaison Officer, Muhammadu Abdulkadir (Yacollege) were the officials of the company that received the delegation.
The leader of the military delegation, Brigadier General O.A. Obasanjo, with other 31 senior officers of the ranks of Colonel or its equivalent and above from other armed services drawn from Nigeria and other friendly African countries who came on study tour of Kwara State from the National Defence College, Abuja Nigeria.
Muhammadu Abdulkadir (Yacollege) delivered a comprehensive lecture entitled “Enhancing National Security in Nigeria for Peace and Development, the Kwara Perspectives”
He successfully spoke about how Valentine Chickens Limited Shonga fits into their study tour topic. Thus, dwelt extensively on the issue of security as it relates to Valentine Chicken Limited.
It should be noted however that accolades and appreciation were given to the company, most especially Muhammadu Abdulkadir
