The Nupe Films and Musicals Makers Association (Nupewood) has expressed sadness over the sudden death of a renowned emcee (MC) and comedian Nda Asabe Usman popularly known as Corporal Turumi.
A statement by the Acting National President of Nupewood, Umar Salihu Adamu, says the National President Ahmed Ibrahim Iyayi on behalf of the people in the Nupe entertainment industry mourn the late Corporal Turumi, praying to Allah to forgive his shortcoming and grant him Aljanat Firdausi.
Ahmed Iyayi expressed condolences to the family of the deceased, the Nupe entertainment industry, and the people of Kin Nupe, saying “The news of Turumi’s death left our industry deeply saddened”.
He said, “Apart from bringing laughter to countless events, the several awards-winning Corporal Turumi always put in a unique touch of glamour that is admired by all and sundry at events”.
